Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir Releases First Music Video
From New #1 CD, "Pray"
NEWS SOURCE:
(Brooklyn, NY)-After debuting its new CD at #1 on the iTunes Christian and Gospel Albums chart, the six-time Grammy Award-winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has released its first music video of the project's title track, Pray. The choir's director, Carol Cymbala, says the title track was chosen for an important reason.
"'Pray' is a ballad sung by Timiney Figueroa and it inspires people to look away from their problems and give them to God at the throne of grace, " says Cymbala. "We chose the song as the title of the CD because the bible says God's house shall be called a house of prayer. Teaching, music, and worship are all important, but I truly believe we need more prayer in our lives and in our churches. Through prayer, anything is possible and we want to encourage everyone, everywhere to pray."
The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has performed at major music venues such as Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Madison Square Garden. In addition to their six Grammy Awards, the Choir has been honored with seven Dove Awards (Gospel Music's Grammy equivalent), two #1 Billboard charting CDs and over four million albums sold. The choir sang "The Battle Hymn of The Republic" at President Obama's second inauguration ceremony on the steps of the U.S. Capitol to a worldwide television audience of over a billion people. The Choir has performed on various national TV shows including Good Morning America and Fox and Friends, among others. Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir was featured on the cover of The New York Times and highlighted in Time Magazine.
