Lakewood Church Choir

Gayle was first appointed to Lakewood in 2009. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Ashland University in Ohio, Master of Divinity Degree in 1999 from Perkins School of Theology, and Doctor of Ministry Degree from SMU in 2010. Her passion for ministry include worship, teaching, and working with people on their own discipleship journeys.

Organist and Choir Director

John was born and raised in Dallas, graduating in the charter class of Lakehill Preparatory School in 1974. After studying piano (and accordion, in an effort to become more popular) through his formative years, he attended and graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in music with an emphasis in organ performance and church music. He has been organist, and then organist/choir director at Lakewood for almost ten years, after having served in a similar position at Grace United Methodist church in Dallas for eleven years.
