Everything in our catalog, with exception to items listed “in stock” or “quick ship” are made-to-order. Production time for made-to-order garments requires at least 6 to 8 weeks from the time an order is placed with payment. Additional time may be required for seasonal demand, fabric or material delays, national holidays and other unforeseen circumstances.
How do I know what size to order?
Rivar’s provides FREE sizing garments for most items shown in the catalog. This allows you to see the fit and style on each person. A sizing garment is a guide and minor alterations may be needed to fit each person’s body.
Do I need to take measurements?
Measurements are only needed for specific items. Please check our sizing information page for a list of styles and size charts. For all other items, the sizing garment program will provide you with the correct size without the need for further measuring. If you are ordering dresses or skirts, you may provide a custom hem measurement for no additional charge.
Can you order individual hem lengths?
Yes, you can provide a custom hem measurement for no additional charge.
Can I add sleeves to a dress or top?
Some styles will accommodate a sleeve. Please contact your account manager for more details.
I don’t see the items I ordered in year’s past in the catalog. Can I still order it?
Depending on fabric availability, garments can still be made from year to year even if they are not shown in the catalog.
Will my fabric be available in the future?
We cannot guarantee fabric and dye lot availability; however, we do carry certain fabrics for multiple years. Please contact your account manager to discuss options available for add-on garments.
Is there a minimum order fee?
Yes, a minimum of 4 garments per style, fabric, and color is required for all made-to-order garments. Any orders of three garments or less will incur an additional charge of $10 per item.
Can I order any style in any fabric?
For the most part, yes. Since everything is made-to-order, there are tons of combinations to create!
If I change the fabric of an item, does the price change?
Fabric drives price! You can order the same style but choose a different fabric and the price may go up or down depending on the fabric you choose. Please contact your account manager for specific pricing.
Is rhinestone trim an additional cost?
Yes, rhinestone trim is additional. We offer many different trim options at various price points. Please contact your account manager for more details on how to stay within your budget.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes, international shipments Global (5-10 business days) is 20% of order total ($50 minimum).
How can I pay for my order?
There are several payment methods you can choose from :
- Prepayment in full (check, credit card, money order). We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.
- 50% deposit with balance paid in full prior to shipment
- Purchase order for full amount to start the order, 50% deposit prior to shipment. Balance due upon receipt. *If a deposit presents a problem, please call our accounting department to make arrangements.
Can I order a custom design?
We do offer custom design services. Additional lead-time and prototypes are required. Please contact your account manager for more details.
Do you send fabric swatches?
Yes, we are happy to send fabric swatches at no charge.
Do you send sample garments?
Yes, we send sample garments as well as sizing garments at no charge. Please contact your account manager for details on our sample/sizing program.
